Pets Day Out

Posted Wednesday 7 September 2005

Creatures great and small will gather at Mosman Village Green on Sunday 11 September when Mosman Council holds a special Pets Day Out.

One of the highlights of the day will be a pet competition for the Best Dressed Pet, Ugliest Pet, Best Behaved Pet, Biggest Pet, Smallest Pet, Most Waggy Tail and an Egg & Spoon Race.

There will also be dog agility and dog obedience demonstrations and facepainting and giveaways for the children.

Local celebrity and resident vet for Channel 7’s Sunrise program, Rachele Lowe, will be guest judging the Pet Show.

The Mayor of Mosman, Councillor Shirley Jenkins, said the Pets Day Out draws pet owners from far and wide around Sydney. “I will be presenting my dog which I’m looking forward to as it is always a lot of fun,” Cr Jenkins said.

“You’ll also be able to dress up your pet, have a photo taken and take the photo complimentary framed home.

“Mosman Council Rangers will be on hand giving out information on responsible pet ownership and care. It is important to pet owners to remember to ensure their dogs are on a leash and other pets are caged.”

Times and running order for the day.
