Take a journey through the military history of Chowder Bay, the site of the former Submarine Miners’ Depot.

Follow a track through bushland to Georges Heights, occupied by the military since the 1870s, which includes fortifications complete with barracks, 300 metres of tunnels, gun emplacements and magnificent views of Sydney Harbour.

Tours are operated by the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust and depart from Chowder Bay morning and afternoon.
