A Quilt Airing - Quilting Exhibition
| when: | Friday 15 - Sunday 17 September, 10am - 4pm |
| where: | The Barn (Scout Hall) |
| cost: | $2 entry fee |
Quilt airings are a tradition dating back hundreds of years in the northern hemisphere, when quilts would be hung outside to air on a sunny spring day before being packed away for the summer.
These days the tradition is more to do with displaying beautiful quilts than cleaning them, but around the world and in Australia quilt airings have become popular community events.
The Mosman Quilt Airing will display the work done by local quilters.
All proceeds from the event will go towards the 1st Mosman Scout Group.
