Balmoral Nippers recruit Jack Traill was on guard this week to meet Balmoral Fun Day Ambassadors, the Inquisitive Brothers Lifeguards.

The three larger than life lifeguards were checking out the swell in readiness for the Mosman Festival’s grand finale event.

Balmoral Fun Day Chairperson, Councillor Lynette Elsegood said the event was expected to attract increased crowds this year.

“There are usually around 12 or so activities including Art in the Park, Chalk It Up Pavement Art, Sandsculpture Competition, Treasure Hunt and Music in the Rotunda, Cr Elsegood said.

“All activities are popular but the Pavement Art was such a runaway success last year I would advise families to register early this year, so that they don’t miss out.

“We have added a few more activities such as Beach Volleyball, recycling relay for children and croquet for anyone who wants to have a go.

“Little people will love the presence of the SES truck and the Police vehicles and there will be a special appearance of some ex international soccer stars to entertain the young ones on Balmoral Oval.

“Jazz lovers can relax to the talented Dan Barnett who recently came second in the World Jazz finals in the Rotunda from 4pm to 6pm.

“Our Ambassadors will be sure to amuse and the day’s line-up offers a great mix of sporting and cultural fun for all ages.”

Balmoral Fun Day will take place at Balmoral Beach on Sunday 24 September from 10am to 6pm.
