Mosman Festival Busking Competition

The Mosman Chamber of Commerce is organising a special Busking Competition on Saturday 27 October from 10am to 4pm.

Talented musicians and/or singers are invited to practise their craft in the retail shopping strip along Military Road, Mosman and vie for the $1,000 total cash prize pool in the Mosman Festival Busking Competition.

‘Mosmanites’ love a fine performance, so feel free to put your hat on the ground and convince them to open their wallets with their hearty applause. Buskers can perform for as long as they like, so why not enter the competition and be a vital part of the Mosman Festival. You might even win a prize.

Deadline for registrations 19 October 2007.

To register for the Competition, all you need to do is call Sue Boyd, President of the Mosman Chamber of Commerce and request a registration form on 0417 887 955 or email sueboyd@mosmanrealty.com.au and give her your contact details, and let her know the time of day you would like to perform. Sue will allocate your busking spot and give you any other information you need regarding electricity etc.

Judges: Mayor of Mosman, Cr Denise Wilton, Councillor Martin Skipper, Mosman Chamber of Commerce President, Sue Boyd, Mosman Chamber of Commerce Secretary, Pat Purcell, and Generosity Gifts Proprietor, Lyn Beynon.

Judging: will take place throughout the day of the competition by two or more judges. The winner will be contacted by telephone at 4.30pm on 27 October 2007 by Sue Boyd and published on www.mosmanfestival.info and www.mosman.org.au on 29 October 2007.

Selection Criteria: standard of performance; presentation; length of performance.
