On Sunday 28 October 2007, Mosman Council is holding a special Parade Day which will involve a Community Street Parade, HMAS Penguin Freedom of Entry and other events around Allan Border Oval.
The Community Street Parade and HMAS Penguin Freedom of Entry will take one hour from 11am to 12pm.
Community Street Parade participants will march from Centenary Circle, along Military Road to Spit Junction, turning left through Mosman Square and finishing at Allan Border Oval.
Navy personnel will parade along Military Road led by the Royal Australian Navy Band. The Challenge will take place in Military Road outside the Civic Centre. The Freedom of Entry parade will exit Military Road via Vista Street and then turn left into Art Gallery Way and left into The Crescent. The Salute will take place on Allan Border Oval.
To ensure maximum safety for all participants and spectators, Police and the RTA have advised a full road closure and clearways. Consequently there will be temporary road closures and traffic arrangements from 6am to 1pm.

Residents are advised not to park within the above. Anyone requiring access to parked vehicles during the road closure is advised to move their vehicles out of these streets before 10.30am. It should be noted, residents and businesses will not be permitted to enter or leave these sections between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
Access to the above streets will be restricted to Emergency Vehicles only. Various side streets adjoining Military Road will be restricted to residents only. Residents may be required to show proof of residence to enter and leave these affected streets.
If any vehicles are parked on Military Road during these times they will be towed away.
NSW Police Officers will be manning numerous road closures and minor amendments to the above closures may ensue based on officer’s discretion.

No parking will be available on the Council car park in The Crescent.
