The Mosman Festival Fair Day is the major outdoor events day of the Festival. There are activities for the whole family. Come along and enjoy a great day out.

Fair Day will take place at Allan Border Oval, The Crescent, Mosman Square, the Village Green and Balmoral.

On Allan Border Oval

Pets Day Out – 10am-3pm

A fun day for pets, their owners and animal lovers. Bring along your pet in any shape or size and show them off at the annual Mosman Pets Day Out. Enter the pet competition. Meet other pet owners and their pets. Learn obedience tricks to teach your pet and test out your pet’s agility. See some of Australia’s weird and wonderful creatures at the Australian Wildlife Display tent, and check out the array of pet stalls. Prizes provided by Show’em How Much You Love’em.

Meet local Navy personnel and see displays of diving and medical equipment, and hydrography.

Giant Games for Littlies – 10am-3pm

Great activities for the little ones – Giant Lego, Giant Snakes and Ladders and more, provided by Seriously Creative.

Emergency Services Expo – 11am-12pm

Come and say hello to our local heroes and have some fun getting behind the wheel of a Fire Truck, Police car, SES vehicle and Ambulance.

Fun for Kids – 10am-3pm

Free activities for children 0-12 years, including plaster craft and circus activities. Enquiries: 9978 4166.

Vintage Vehicle Display – 10am-3pm

Pittwater Motor Enthusiasts Association will have a wonderful display of classic cars and bikes from a by-gone era. Come and admire these classic vehicles and talk to their passionate owners.

Scouts Harbourside Hikeathon – 8am-3pm

A hike from Mosman Art Gallery, around the foreshores of Mosman, and finish at Allan Border Oval.

Enjoy a great family day out, and help our local Scouts. Hike 15kms around the Harbour and be part of the Festival Fair Day. Or start at The Spit and hike 12kms. Entry is $10 (15km route) or $5 (12km route). Register from 7.30am for 8-9am start.

Around the Oval

Concert in the Park – 10am-12pm and 1.30-4pm, Concert Stage

Talent from local primary schools, dance groups, musical societies and professional performers will add an enjoyable atmosphere to the festivities. Seating on the concert lawn is unreserved picnic style. Bring a picnic blanket or low seating. Food and beverages will be available to purchase from the Fabulous Food Fair. JS Dance Centre is a sponsor of Concert in the Park.

Fair Day Market – 10am-4pm, Village Green & Mosman Square

With over 100 stalls showcasing local businesses and community groups, art and craft, gourmet treats, homewares and jewellery, there will be lots of choice so you can spoil yourself or find that perfect gift for someone special.

Fabulous Food Fair – 10am-4pm, The Crescent & Myahgah Rd

Be tempted with an impressive selection of gourmet fresh foods, ethnic delicacies and sweet treats. Get those taste buds prepped!

SuperStar Talent Quest – 12-1.30pm, Concert Stage

SuperStar will showcase the musical and theatrical talents of Mosman’s young people aged 11-17 as they compete for a major prize. Enquiries: 9978 4013.

Youth Centre Open Day – 10am-2pm, The Crescent (under Mosman Library)

Mosman’s Youth Centre will be open to the community. Come and have fun getting your photo snapped at the photo booth, try your hand at the Mosaic Project, or participate in the giant games. Free entry. Enquiries: 9978 4013.

Seniors Centre Open Day – 10am-2pm, Mosman Seniors Centre

Drop into the Seniors Centre and hear a guest speaker talk about antiques. Bring along your antique items (excluding jewellery) from 10am on the day for discussion.

Mosman Community Services Inc will also be coordinating a display featuring Mental Health information for the whole community. Enquiries: 9978 4128.

Children’s Activities – 10am-2pm, Allan Border Oval Surrounds

Free activities for children 0-12 years, including face painting and balloon sculptures. Enquiries: 9978 4166.

Mini Masterpieces – 10am-2pm, Allan Border Oval Surrounds

An opportunity for children to create their own masterpiece by painting or drawing on small canvases. Free. Enquiries: 9978 4178.

Waste Into Art – 10am-2pm, Allan Border Oval Surrounds

  • Make your own water feature – a recycled paper Origami boat or bird;
  • Appreciate wind energy – make a colourful recycled paper pinwheel or kite out of paper, bamboo and cotton;
  • Envirocraft – choose from a number of activities, for example making a tissue box monster, can drum or animal jars.

Sustainability Expo – 10am-2pm, Allan Border Oval Surrounds

Fun activities for everyone to explore the theme of sustainable living: measure your environmental footprint; learn creative ways to reduce your impact on the environment; test your knowledge with the environmental challenges. Enquiries: 9978 4018.

ECO Divers Marine Display – 10am-4pm, The Crescent

An educational display about the marine environment and the impact humans have on it. Enquiries: 9978 4043.

BYO Bag

Mosman Council is encouraging visitors to Fair Day to ‘Bring Your Own Carry Bag’. In an effort to reduce waste and recycle, please bring a carry bag to take home the things you buy or collect on the day.

Sustainable Transport Challenge

Take part in the Sustainable Transport Challenge to go into the draw to win a year’s free membership to GoGet Carshare valued at $348!

To enter, simply use a sustainable mode of transport to travel to the Mosman Festival Fair Day at Allan Border Oval, such as cycling, walking, public transport, car sharing or car pooling. On the day fill in an entry form at the Sustainability Expo to go in the draw.

Temporary road closures and parking arrangements

From 6am to 6pm, temporary road closures will be in effect on:

  • The Crescent
  • Myahgah Road between The Crescent and Art Gallery Way
  • Art Gallery Way between Myahgah Road and Vista Street.

Residents are advised not to park within the streets above. Access to these streets will be restricted to Emergency Vehicles only.

Temporary parking restrictions will be in place on:

  • The Crescent (both sides) – No Stopping restriction from 6am to 6pm
  • Gouldsbury Street (north side) – Authorised Vehicle Parking Only from 6am to 6pm
  • Myahgah Road (east side) – Authorised Vehicle Parking Only from 6am to 6pm

Residents with Resident Parking Scheme stickers (Area 7) will be permitted to park in the “Authorised Vehicles Parking Only” area on Gouldsbury Street.
